I’m a bit late to this challenge as I was more focused on getting my game finished. After going through all of my journal entries, below are the domains that are mentioned.
Reflective Domains
| Dispositional Domain | 2 |
| Affective Domain | 5 |
| Interpersonal Domain | 1 |
| Cognitive Domain | 1 |
| Procedural Domain | 2 |
I have a lot in the affective domain, I know I write a lot about how I feel so this make sense. The other domains are lacking. I plan to go back to my journal entries to improve them so I’ll make sure that more of the domains are being mentioned. Interpersonal is low because I’m working on my own but this could be improved by commenting more on the discussions and mentioning that in my blog posts. For cognitive I need to think more about the strengths and weaknesses of learning.
SMART Goals
Smart Goal 1
- Specific: Participate more in discussions so I can contemplate the interpersonal domain
- Measurable: I will add a tag each time I discuss it so I can check to see how much the number has increased
- Attainable: Commenting on at least 2 posts every week and reflecting in my journal
- Relevant: This will improve my reflective practice and help fellow students with their reflections
- Time-bound: New discussion topics are posted once a week
Smart Goal 2
- Specific: Reflect more on the cognitive domain
- Measurable: I will add a tag each time I discuss it so I can check to see how much the number has increased
- Attainable: I will make sure to discuss it in each blog post
- Relevant: This will help improve my approach to learning
- Time-bound: I will post at least once a week
Smart Goal 3
- Specific: Reflect more on what I have learned, whether it is successful or a failure
- Measurable: I will add a tag each time I discuss it so I can check to see how much the number has increased
- Attainable: I will write about what I have learned each week and reflect upon that
- Relevant: This will help improve my development practice and confidence as it will be an indicator of how much I’m learning
- Time-bound: I will post about what I have learned once a week, no matter how big or small
Smart goals can help with big or small goals, Robbins (2021) explains that they can be used for business or personal life so it’s a good idea to get used to using these as it will help in the future too.
Overall I’ve done a good job with explaining how I feel about what I’m doing but not so much assessing the strengths and weaknesses in my approach to learning. This will be useful to keep in mind going into the next Rapid Ideation because there is a lot of opportunity for learning there.
